MOSS Solution Architect

We seeking a seasoned Solution Architect with a background of success and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server.

The successful candidate will participate in requirements analysis activities and will assume a hands-on technical lead role within project teams creating web based business applications / enterprise portals, largely based on SharePoint, for clients across a range of industries.

The position largely involves requirements analysis, solution design, testing, implementation and support of SharePoint and custom web-based software using:

·         Microsoft Office SharePoint Server

·         Microsoft SQL Server

·         ASP.NET, Visual Studio, VB.NET, C#

·         HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, AJAX, SOAP

Requirements:

·         Experience designing and implementing enterprise systems involving Microsoft Office SharePoint Server

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral

·         Ability to work directly with clients in gathering and documenting requirements and to devise appropriate systems based solutions for these requirements

·         Demonstrable ability to assume a technical leadership role in a development team environment

·         Solid and diverse technical knowledge and design skills

·         Ability to work independently, solve problems and think creatively

·         Ability to deliver quality work in a timely manner

Desirables:

·         Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist:

·         Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 –

·         Application Development and/or Microsoft Certified Professional Developer –

·         Enterprise Applications Developer certification

·         Strong working knowledge of n-tier and object oriented architectures

·         Expertise in any of the following products:

o    Microsoft BizTalk Server

o    Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Integration Services

·         Knowledge of UML

Education and Experience:

·         University degree in Computer Science, or equivalent

·         At least two years experience in .NET development and 5 years experience developing and/or implementing web-based business applications
